These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MotifLab and any pre-order of early access.
The service
MotifLab is a web application that helps songwriters generate and develop chord progressions and melodies. A pre-order reserves your place in early access and grants lifetime access to the core features described on the landing page at the time of purchase.
Pre-orders and billing
When you pre-order, you pay a one-time fee through our Merchant of Record, Creem, which also handles applicable VAT and sales tax. Your payment is fully refundable until launch — see our Refund Policy. If we do not ship the product, all pre-orders are refunded automatically.
Your music is yours
You own 100% of the songs, melodies and chords you create with MotifLab, including all rights in them. We claim no ownership of your output and take no share of your publishing.
License
Your pre-order grants a personal, non-transferable license to use the app. “Lifetime” means lifetime access to the core product for as long as we operate it.
Acceptable use
Don't resell access, attempt to reverse-engineer the service, or use it in violation of applicable law. Sexually explicit content is strictly prohibited in AI-generated music, lyrics, and all other output. See our full Acceptable Use Policy for the detailed rules.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided “as is” during early access. We’ll work hard to keep it available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access during this period.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Hong Kong shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
